If the gap between the circular mould and the compression roller is too small, it will speed up the wearing between circular mould and the compression roller surface , especially during idle running when the granulator start and stop , of which wearing effect much more . With considering the roundness deviation of the surface of the circular mould and compression roller as well as some factors of the coaxiality error detection between the working face and the fitting surface , during adjustment, applicating the compression rolller maximum outer diameter to be exposed with the circular mould minimum inner diameter, and along with the circular mould driving to the turn of turn. Under normal circumstances, the small mould hole the small gap, the big mould hole the big gap . When instal new modules, usually require the gap between circular mould and compression roller to be a little bigger than what you need ; this is good for the smooth transition between the new circular mould and the old compression roller, after a certain period of runnin between the new mould and the old roller, the gap can be adjusted to what you need . The gap between circular mould and compression roller generally is 0.2 ~ 0.4 mm, when granulate small diameter particles feed or use a new circular mould to choose minimum value.
